One of my favorite things about blogging is you get to savor great moments and revisit them. The 2 Boys Holiday 2009 did not disappoint. It will take me a few entries to post all the loveliness.... and I am going to enjoy it all....

Scola Holiday Gala 09

I once heard Oprah say that it is important to do things you love. I love being with fun people. I love chatting and laughing and being silly. I love clothing and seeing my friends in beautiful clothes. and most of all I love an excuse to get dressed up.

I think that is why I wait with baited breath for the Annual Scola Holiday Gala. Maryann & Jeff are a stylish and super fun couple. I was in heaven.... so many of the local people I love sooo much in one room(not everyone but many). Glamour... food.. laughter and yeah it was Adult Only...... I wore a new Sequin Top I bought in San Fran just for the evening. Chris and I are rarely without the kids... so it was fun to just be boyfriend and girlfriend for a night! Thank you Maryann and Jeff!

They love these sunglasses below. As I looked at them... by golly if they do not resemble my hero....BONO of U2.

Wonderful Whirlwind

The Holidays are here and we Poveromos are BUSY and VERY HAPPY. Our lives are kind of a whirlwind... but I am pretty good at slowing down and smelling the roses. In the last two weeks we have....

1. attended a great family dinner in honor of Berewick Schools.. hosted by good buddy Jackie P

2. shopped and shopped

3. began the never ending task of decorating Pov Place

4. organized for Crisis Assistance Ministry Warm Clothing Drive.. ending today

5. had an impromtu Business Trip to San Fran to explore some 2010 work possibilities.. got to see a dear friend..hate leaving my family but here is the TRUTH... Me Alone, lovely hotel.. THE CITY, SHOPS.......yummy food.. VERY GOOD AND FUN!

The trip turned out to be an early Christmas Gift(I got to destress a little).

Happy Holiday and Happy Hannukah to my dear Jewish Friends!

This weekend the big task = get our tree up/start decorating it/ start addressing Holiday Cards/ deliver clothes to Crisis Assistance & Nesting.. lots of Nesting

Thanksgiving 2009

Turkey, football, dessert.. lots of dessert. Scavenger Hunts.... /abbreviated Scavenger Hunts...Sofrito, Spanish Novelas.....Gingerbread Houses.. reading the directions to get it kind of right.....laughing.. the boys running down the stairs every morning screaming.."PAPA... CHA CHA"....laying in bed with my mom and talking.... talking to Dad about life.. and lottery tickets....Cha Cha's super cool crafts......three trips a day to Harris Teeter....Dunkin Donuts Coffee, Spanish Rice....love.. laughter...family... Precious Family......
