Splendid Summer Saturday

Good evening... how I love blogging. I sit here for WAY to long playing with pictures and fonts and colors. I also love to search the net and look at other blogs and be inspired. I never EVER thought I would love it as much as I do. It stirs some creative part of me that likes to create and have a product. Additionally, I am rather anal about keeping track of our Pov Life. This weekend is shaping up to be picture perfect. The fun actually started on Wed. A few local chicklettes and I headed over to Don Pedros here in town to celebrate Danielle and Ashley who will be giving birth to their second babies very soon. Then Friday we had Pizza with the P Family... Very good Berewick buddies. We adore them. Pizza, beverages, ice cream and lots of play for the kids is just a perfect night for us! Today Chris created a rather long Home Project List and I am lovin' it! He spent much of the day cleaning the garage. We also visted our local Berewick Splash Park. I know you are SICK of hearing me say Berewick/Steele Creek is my kind of paradise.. but it really is. I said several times today.. even with all the crazy professional stuff I am experiencing.. I am just VERY VERY HAPPY. I think God created Summer to give us a glimpse into what Heaven is like...... enjoy it.. We Sure are. - Gieselle/Gigi

Well the Fourth of July was firetastic.. I mean fantastic! Ok Corny I know but it really was awesome. One of our bests!

Highlights:

CJ and Chris went to see new Ice Age 3 Movie. CJ loved it and it was his first time at a theater.. ever!

Took naps.. I love a good nap!

Visited Darren and Heather our dear friends in Steele Creek. They have an unbelievable home close by with a stunning pool and boat launch right on the lake. This is the place to be for the fourth! We had such a relaxing time with some of our fave local families.....


Had fun with sparklers and fireworks with Brian and Amber and fam and some more local friends....

Sunday.... park with good friends. Took a few moments to say THANK YOU GOD for all our blessings... napped.... did laundry and just nested and rested!!!!!!!!!

Summer is God's way of giving us a glimpse into what Heaven is like!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mason had Hand Foot Mouth this week.. but was fine in 48 hours! And doing his typical two year old stuff!

Reflections at 40

Dear CJ and Mason,

Mommy is 40 now and I wanted to tell you a little bit about what I know as a 40 year old:

at 40... you are who you are! I am a sappy.. pink loving/ a bit over the top/sensitive latina girl. I like me just as I am!

I hope to listen more than I talk. This is a hard one for this Rather Chatty EXTROVERT. But the people who really succeed in this world listen more than they talk. They get that everyone wants to be HEARD!

Life is really about the journey. I know its cliche.. but its about smelling the flowers, enjoying good family and friends....stopping to be present and just take it all in, crying, laughing etc etc...

Life is about finding your purpose and living it! It can be parenting or life coaching/counseling(big ones for me) or painting or taking pictures. Figure out what LIGHTs you Up from the inside and GO FOR IT!

Love God, yourself, and someone(s) else. Does not even have to be that order. But consider it.

Consider What would Jesus Do... you may not even believe in Jesus like I do... but if you think in the moments of truth about how he would act in any given situation... You will (I guarantee) always do the right thing.

PS: and have enough confidence to post hysterical pictures of yourself ( circa Duran Duran 1984)and know .... its OK!

I could go on here but I said this would be short. And the truth is I really do not know anything more than that! I still have a whole lot more living and learning to do!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Maria I loved my Birthday Collage. It was my absolute FAVE birthday gift. i love you and miss you so much sweet pea!
