Mason Turns Two

Hello Dear Friends and Readers..... We Povs had a great weekend. The big celebration was for Mason.. who turned the big 2. We celebrated via a joint birthday party for he and his good buddy, Jake( born two days after him). We also invited his Aug 2007 PlayDate Buddies and a few other neighborhood kiddies... Grandma Eileen and Grandpa Bob came to visit and I do not how, but they managed to escape my constant photo taking. We love you guys and thank you for coming. The weekend had its finale at my fave brunch place Pikes. You must go to Pike for Brunch. It is DIVINE.

Back to the parties.... I have had alot of inquiries about the cake..... the birthay cake was made by my latina sister and neighbor Marleney. This girl is truly gifted as a Cake Creator. Hire her today.

Lastly, you may notice the odd box pictured labeled Berewick School Supplies. In lieu of gifts we asked our guests to donate new school items to our wonderful new school BEREWICK ELEMENTARY. Very very excited about the new school... more to come...

Happy Second Birthday Mason.. Aug 5th, 2009

Dear Mason,
Happy Birthday( Aug 5th). We love you so. When you were in my belly I wondered a lot..... I wondered:
- will I be able to love another baby like I love CJ?
- will I have time to be with CJ?
- will I have time to be with this new baby, Chris, myself... GOD?
- will I ever take a shower again.... bath or any version of the two?
- can I do this.... can I raise two boys to be good men who love the lord, themselves and mankind? Gosh what a tall order!
- How will I get two kids to take naps?
- How will I ever get out of the house with two children?
- Do I really want to deal with MORE DIAPERS( CJ potty trained at 3+)?
- Can we afford another baby?
And then you came into the world.. that fabulous and HOT August 5th, 2007(it was 99 degrees) and the doctor placed your little sweet body on my belly... and

THE ANSWERS CAME.

.......... my heart expanded...... MOM's just have that capacity to love.. ALOT... We just love.... the heart grows bigger.... and maybe not all the answers are there.. but the important ones are!
My life is so full with you in it! You are so Freakin' funny.... and sweet.. and a human tornado at two.... I love to hear you say... "SCUSE ME and SSEEEEEEEEE JAY... SEEEEEE JAY ..." and yeah the occasional F*** IT....!
Thank you for choosing me as your mommy. I will and do make mistakes on this mommy journey.. but I love you so.... there are no words.. but again...

A week of La Vida..... Pov Style

We are blessed with a very full life. Great family and great friends... we really have a very full community of people we love dearly. As I reflect on our past week.. I am struck by how full of living it is..... some challenging moments in everyday but generally we have more laughter... and smiles.... and giggles than challenges... we are blessed. Thank you Lord... Here's to a great new week. Enjoy it peeps.. they can go fast. The winners are those who stop to really be present in the majesty of life!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Who stand up and say.. "This is my life and I am going to make it great and grand.... filled with lots of wondeful little moments that make it FABULOUS! "
