Soccer 2011

A huge part of or life right now is SOCCER! Mason is on the Blue Crush, and CJ on the Blue Lighting. Same uniforms, different aged teams. Want in on a secret??? Sure you do! I do not like soccer! Nope, nilch...no no no. I don't like it because I am a recovering helicopter mom(i.e. someone who hovers and keeps her children from failing and falling). Wikipedia defintion is HERE . Anyway, I am in recovery. I hate watching them do ANYTHING! I can barely watch them play sports. I worry about falls, about loses, about being left out. So any chance I get... I high tail it out of there! If Chris is at the game, I watch for five minutes and then I take a walk. I play so nonchalant, but I am a serious WORRIER! Right now they love it! They love to win, they are fine with loses. They do their best. So who is getting the lessons here I ask? Yep, me!

OM, OM, OM, this is why I do yoga!

09-11-2011 Remembering the Attack on the US

Dear Boys,

Ten years ago, a horrible act occurred against the United States. People died. Planes flew into buildings. Our world changed dramatically. I like to see myself as a Global Citizen first, a Human Being but I am also a proud American. We live in a country where I can speak freely. There are things within our system I don't like. I can say I still see the racism, injustice, inequality. But there is so much more good to this USA than bad. We live free! And honestly I have to focus on me, my "stuff" and my own development. I will not throw stones at anyone. I am just a person trying to be the best I can be. I hope you both will be good men, love yourselves, someone else, a higher power, and humanity.

Bad people exist for sure. Many people died ten years ago because of hate. Hate kills. I hope you choose love and compassion for yourselves and others over hate.

Today, I did what I do when stressed or hurting, I turned to my Pov Nest for comfort. I turned to: my three guys, books, art,my lastest obsession pinterest.com/ and fashion. I turned to you for your sweet little kisses and hugs and love. I am the luckiest girl in the world. Ten years ago I had dreams of being a mother. Today I am! The best I can do to honor those that died is to live BIG. I am going to enjoy this great big full life I have. I want that for you both too! Ride rollercoasters, travel, eat Pizza often. Dance, dance, and dance some more. Kiss and hug people... make big mistakes, cry, laugh, listen to music, win, lose and LIVE my sweet baby boys... LIVE!

Thank you for a great day today! I loved the Balloon Fights but not nearly as much as I love you both my Frick and Frack!

Grandma Cha Cha's(Eva') Birthday 2011

Miss Eva, Grandma Cha Cha, Mom, had a milestone birthday too. We celebrated in Dade City, Florida. We had a great time. We enjoyed lots of Latin Food, some Italian, the Cha Cha Slide dance, chess games.. swimming, swimming, swimming in the pool. My sister and her boys came too! It was big D Family Fest for our matriarch, Cha Cha. Please note, when asked what kind of cake she wanted.. she said.. "I would prefer one dozen Italian Zeppoles.... ".

She got her Zeppole

Happy Birthday Grandma Dream

Both Grandma's are celebrating milestone birthdays. They are 25!!!!!!!! We are excited for them. They had their kids sooo young(actually they both really did)! Here is Grandma Eileen's celebration pictures. It was fun! For me the icing on the cake( literally), was tasting my very first Daisy Cake. I will not lie, it was ABSOLUTELY the best piece of cake I have ever had! No joke. Period. End. While not born in the south after ten years of living here I know my southern stuff. You never doubt a southern lady baking with her grandma's receipes! I am a fan and so thankful Grandma Eileen chose a DaisyCake!
