Thank you Big Guy up above...

Dear Father above,

I don't say Thank You enough. I struggle with my faith. I believe in you and yet I don't want to be pushy on people. And I respect that others can believe differently. I believe Jesus and yet I also believe Mohammed was probably important and other prophets. At the end of the day I belive in you completely and your beloved son, my savior Jesus. Wanted to say thank you. Thank you for my life. It is really very cool. For my husband who I really love on good days and bad. For Frick an Frack who allow me to be a kid and slow down. Thank you for this messy, whacky, extremely imperfect.. Majestic Life. I stray...from you.. I dont speak for you enough. I am materialistic, shallow at times, overly emotional, and selfish... but you love me always... I never doubt that.

Just wanted to say that.. I LOVE YOU MY LORD! THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, if CJ and Mason read this someday.. and I am gone.. I hope they grow to believe in you. They don't have to believe in dogma... I don't. But I hope they believe in you and know you and love you and know everything that comes from you is really very, very cool and PERFECT.

Thank you... will eat lots for you and in your honor this Thursday.

No Big Agenda Saturdays

My favorite Saturdays are the Saturdays that are No Big Agenda Saturdays. No soccer, no birthday parties, no no NOTHING. I have always been a girl who loves being in my bathrobe with my peeps more than any place else. My home, and my family allow me to chill, breathe, and just be. I think I really am a closet Introvert. I really prefer my family and nesting to just about anything( ok except Anthropologie and shopping)! But you get the point. I love No Agenda Saturdays. This one was lovely, mellow... and PERFECT!PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket

Halloween Happenings 2011

When the pumpkins are so yellow
And the vines with grapes abound,
When the melons are so mellow
And the nuts fall to the ground;
When persimmons lose their bitters,
And the apples are so red;
When we love to eat corn fritters
Since the roasting ears have fled;
When vacation days are over
And the children go to school,
They no longer play in clover,
But much learn "Arithmos-rule,"
When weird Hallowe'en's most naughty elves
With gnomes and sprites appear,
While fat Thanksgiving fills the shelves -
'Tis AUTUMN, QUEEN OF YEAR.

A little about CJ at age 7:

CJ is a sweet, funny, sensitive boy. Just this past week my friend Mindi emailed me to tell me how polite he is. He loves to dance around the house, loves Star Wars and Dancing with the Stars. He adores soccer and when asked recently said he wants to be a soccer player. He is our cuddly, wonderful, soccer loving.. 7 year old! We are lucky peeps! Happy New Year to our sweet CJ.

Soccer 2011

A huge part of or life right now is SOCCER! Mason is on the Blue Crush, and CJ on the Blue Lighting. Same uniforms, different aged teams. Want in on a secret??? Sure you do! I do not like soccer! Nope, nilch...no no no. I don't like it because I am a recovering helicopter mom(i.e. someone who hovers and keeps her children from failing and falling). Wikipedia defintion is HERE . Anyway, I am in recovery. I hate watching them do ANYTHING! I can barely watch them play sports. I worry about falls, about loses, about being left out. So any chance I get... I high tail it out of there! If Chris is at the game, I watch for five minutes and then I take a walk. I play so nonchalant, but I am a serious WORRIER! Right now they love it! They love to win, they are fine with loses. They do their best. So who is getting the lessons here I ask? Yep, me!

OM, OM, OM, this is why I do yoga!
